Masen provides data solutions to industrial manufacturers, assessing their unique infrastructure in order to design, install and maintain hardware for seamless environmental data capture. They also provide a platform to help clients draw insights from this information, making operational decisions accessible and transformation possible.

Why did Masen need MYC?

Just over a year after their inception, Masen went to work on their brand with an in-depth discovery session. They wanted their website and overall messaging to represent their cutting-edge solution in a way that better encapsulated their USPs and potential impact. Members of their team had once operated in the same fields as their target audience, and they wanted this to also come across in their content.

Following the discovery session, Masen set out to translate its outcomes into a pitch deck and website. They needed copy that reflected their updated value proposition and tone of voice, distilling what they do into digestible yet impactful content. Having heard about MYC’s capabilities from another client of ours, Masen contacted us to bring their new brand direction to life.

Overseas content collaboration

Masen’s Director Eric and Jon, their designer, were quick to point out that they hadn’t worked with a copywriter before. It was determined early on that we would take a sprint-like approach where we would work closely with them on ideation and direction, before delivering batches of content in shared documents that made reviews, approvals and collaboration seamless.

We introduced a copywriter, editor and client services manager to the Masen team – embedding ourselves in the new brand direction and presenting ideas around the content. We also shared our expertise around how messaging could be used across both the pitch deck and the website while also speaking to two audiences at different stages of the sales funnel: environmental data engineers and decision makers.

Regular catch-up calls were managed by our client services manager where we would review content, collaborate on next steps, and explore how Masen could leverage the copy to amplify their USPs. Flexibility was essential to align with the client’s US time zone.

Impactful, purpose-led copy

The fluid partnership we struck made for an efficient project and adaptable copy. The pitch deck was delivered in a format that Masen could easily modify depending on whether it was being presented or sent digitally to prospects.

Working closely with Jon on the design, we also provided clear, punchy and impactful content for a revamped website that reflected Masen’s new value proposition and brand messaging – showcasing key differentiators in the right places.
